Last Saturday I went to the Stamp event Art Specially, in Holland. It was great, lots to see, lots to buy. Of course I couldn't resist all those temptations, see photo (LOL)
At the entrance, we already received a stamp, an inkpad, and a Copic marker. There were stands from all over Europe, the Netherlands of course, Engeland, USA, Germany, and Belgium.
I mainly bought clear stamps and unmounted rubber stamps this time, as they are cheaper, and much easier to store, than wooden stamps. Unmounted rubber stamps have to be "glued" onto a supporting adhesive foam, like EZ mount, and then cut apart.
I did buy some wooden stamps, even a "Manneken Pis" from Brussels ! LOL
A tip for users of wooden stamps, or if you want to start with wooden stamps : before you use the stamp for the first time, varnish the surface around the rubber with clear wood varnish (or clear nail varnish). When you have stamped and want to clean your stamp, the ink won't penetrate into the wood and leave ugly stains, and the wood is protected against moist.
Now all I need is a lot of free time, to try out my new goodies !!
