Donderdag - kerstkaart

Pfff, we hebben weer een hittegolf achter de rug (de 3e al), en vannacht een hevig onweer !
Maar vandaag is het weer tijd voor een kerstkaart bij "52weekstochristmas" !
De achtergrond is met alcohol inkt gemaakt op fotopapier.  Ik heb de beren familie gestempeld en uitgeknipt, dan erop gekleefd. Nog een ster embossed op een heldere plek en weeral een kaart af.
Ik kan helaas niet meedoen met de volgende uitdaging en ook niet op jullie blogs komen kijken, want ik ga er een tijdje tussenuit.  Na m'n vakantie zien jullie mij dan wel hier terug verschijnen. :)
Ik wens allen, die op 2 september terug beginnen met school of werk, veel moed en succes !

Wow, we had another heat wave (the 3rd already) and last night a heavy thunderstorm !
But today it's time for another Christmas card at "52weekstochristmas".
The background is made with alcohol ink on photo paper. I stamped and fussy cut the bear family and glued it on.   An embossed star, and another Christmas card is ready !
I won't be able to visit your blogs, as I'm away for a while. After my holiday, you'll find me back here.
On Monday, school starts again in Belgium, so I wish all the children and people who start to work, lots of success !

Kaart van de workshop

Pffff, het is weer "bakken en braden" buiten, dus ben ik maar even naar binnen gevlucht. :)
Ik had jullie nog een kaart van de alcohol inkt workshop beloofd, hier is ze dan.
Eerst een foto van de eerste afdruk, met daarnaast de tweede afdruk.
Van de eerste afdruk heb ik de achtergrond van de kaart gemaakt, van de tweede afdruk  de achtergrond van de bloemen en het vogeltje. Die heb ik ook verhoogd op gekleefd.
Nog hartelijk dank voor de vele leuke reacties op mijn kerstkaart en ik wens jullie nog een heel fijne zondag !

I promised you the card from the alcohol ink workshop, so here it is.
First a picture of the background (first and second print).  I used the first print for the card, and the second print for the flowers and bird.

Donderdag - kerstkaart

Ja, het is alweer donderdag, en het wordt prachtig weer, dus ik ga zeker buiten bezig zijn ! :)
Maar eerst nog een nieuwe kerstkaart voor "52weekstochristmas".
Weer met een "oud" glitter-papiertje als achtergrond (de stapel wordt maar niet kleiner...), en de engel-mal van Renke op een ster.
Nog hartelijk dank voor alle reacties op mijn workshop-doosje, de kaart volgt binnenkort.
Ik hoop dat iedereen kan genieten van het mooie weer !

Workshop

Hallo en welkom op mijn blog ! Allereerst hartelijk dank voor de vele lieve reacties op mijn vorige kaart, ik ben er heel blij mee !
Zaterdag ben ik naar een workshop geweest van Maria Bellekens (zij heeft enkele jaren geleden de winnende poster gemaakt voor het Art Specially Event).  We gingen aan de slag met Distress inkten en alcohol inkten, waardoor je  heel mooie achtergronden krijgt. Hieronder een paar foto's van mijn eerste "probeersels".  Ook tof idee van Maria : Washi tape gebruiken, om een mooie rand rond je kaart te krijgen. (Die van Action is daar prima voor).
Mijn workshop kaart is nog niet af, maar wel het geschenkdoosje, waar precies 10 reepjes Merci chocolade inpassen. Natuurlijk kan je de afmeting van het doosje aanpassen. De bloemen en vogel zijn in 3D op gekleefd.

Hello and welcome ! First of all, many thanks for the very nice comments on my last card, so lovely to read !
On Saturday, I went to a workshop, given by Maria Bellekens. We worked with Distress inks and alcohol inks, to make beautiful backgrounds. On the pictures some of my first trials.  Also an idea from Maria : use (cheap) Washi tape to make a nice frame around your card.
My final card isn't ready yet, but the giftbox is : you can put 10 pieces of  "Merci" chocolate in it, but of course you can adjust the measurements of the box for another present. The flowers and bird are in 3D.

Donderdag - kerstkaart

Wauw, alweer donderdag, dus tijd voor een kerstkaart bij "52weekstochristmas" !
Maar eerst hartelijk welkom aan mijn 2 nieuwe volgers, Linda en Doris, ik kom ook bij jullie kijken hoor, zo kunnen we bij elkaar inspiratie opdoen.
Ook nog heel hartelijk dank voor de vele lieve reacties op mijn vorige kaarten, zo leuk om te lezen !
Vandaag een kerstkaart met een nieuwe tekst-stempel van Darkroom Door. Ook de rand rond de tekst is van DD. Ik heb de kaart op goud gekleefd, en daarna nog op een gestempelde achtergrond. (een oud stempeltje van Inkadinkado).
Vandaag is het in België een feestdag (O.L. Vrouw-Hemelvaart), en in Antwerpen en omgeving ook Moederdag. In Antwerpen is het Rubensmarkt, een grote feestmarkt, waarbij de marktkramers in kledij uit de tijd van Rubens zijn uitgedost.
Nog een heel fijne dag en tot de volgende keer !

Today, a Christmas card with a new sentiment stamp from Darkroom Door.  The frame is also from DD.  I mounted the card on gold, and on another stamped background (an old stamp from Inkadinkado).
Today is a Holiday in Belgium (Our Lady Ascension), and in Antwerp and surroundings also Mothers' Day.
In Antwerp is also the Rubens market (named after the famous Flemish painter), it's a festive market, and the stallholders are dressed in costumes from Rubens' time.

Zomer

Een bloem die volop "zomer" zegt, is wel de zonnebloem. Ik heb er ook in mijn tuin staan, en als later de zaadjes rijp zijn, hebben de meesjes een feestmaaltijd.
Dat heb ik op deze kaart uitgebeeld. Ik weet niet of meesjes echt zaadjes naar hun vriendjes beneden gooien, maar het is toch een leuk idee. Er is in ieder geval genoeg voor iedereen. :)  De vogels zijn van Darkroom Door (set Bird Life) en de zonnebloem van Chocolate Baroque. Een tekst zet ik er later op, als ik weet, waar de kaart naartoe gaat.
Nog hartelijk dank voor de vele lieve reacties op mijn kerstkaart, en ik wens jullie nog een heel fijne zondag !

A flower that really says "Summer" is certainly the sunflower. I have several in my garden, much to the pleasure of the tits.
I've shown this in my card. I don't know if tits really throw seeds down for their friends, but it's a nice idea. Anyway, there's enough for all of them.  :)
The birds are from Darkroom Door (set Bird Life) and the sunflower from Cbocolate Baroque.  I put on a sentiment, when I know where the card is going.

Wauw, alweer donderdag, dus hier ben ik terug met een kerstkaart voor "52weekstochristmas" !
Allereerst proficiat aan de dames die de maandelijkse uitdaging hebben gewonnen :  Margriet, Mieke, Annie, Maura en Jacqueline !
Vandaag nog een CAS kaartje, met een bomen-stempel van Stampin'Up en een hertjes-mal van  IO.
Straks ga ik weer naar de andere inzendingen kijken.

Stempel-idee

Hallo en welkom op mijn blog !  Allereerst hartelijk dank voor de vele leuke reacties op mijn kerstkaart, altijd fijn om te lezen !
Vandaag heb ik een kaart met een techniek die ik in het Engelse tijdschrift "Cardmaking & Papercraft" heb ontdekt.   Zij noemen het "Velveteen stamping". Toch leuk om eens iets anders te proberen.
Op een witte kaart stempel je een achtergrond-stempel met witte pigment inkt (bvb Memento).
Dat (voorzichtig) drogen met een heattool.  Dan met gewone kleureninkt (bv. Distress) er bloemen of iets anders over stempelen. (zie eerste foto) Het moeten wel 'dichte' stempels zijn, geen holle, die je zelf nog moet inkleuren. En liefst donkere kleuren gebruiken. In die bloemen zie je dan het motief van de achtergrond-stempel  (zie detail-foto). 
Op de laatste foto zie je de volledige kaart, ik heb er nog een wens met een nietje op vastgemaakt, zodat je ook onder de tekst kan kijken. Dit kaartje is nogal "tropisch", maar ik denk dat het  bvb. met stempels van herfstbladeren ook mooi wordt.

Hello and welcome ! First of all many thanks for the lovely comments on my last card, always nice to read.
Today I show a card with a technique which I found in the English magazine "Cardmaking & Papercraft".  They call it "Velveteen stamping".
On a white card, you stamp a background stamp with white pigment ink (f. i. Memento).
Carefully dry with a heattool.  Then stamp flowers with different colours of ink (I used normal Distress) on the card. (see picture 1).  Use full stamps, not the ones you have to colour in.  In the flowers, you see the motive of the background stamp (see picture 2) .
On picture 3 you see the completed card. I've put on a sentiment with a staple.
This card is rather "tropical", but I guess you could also use autumn leaves.

Donderdag - kerstkaart

Wauw, juli is alweer voorbij, wat gaat de tijd toch snel ! Ben benieuwd, wat augustus gaat brengen, hopelijk mooi weer, maar tropisch hoeft niet meer voor mij ! :)
Vandaag weer een kerstkaart voor "52weekstochristmas", deze keer ook voor de maandelijkse uitdaging. Een CAS (clean and simple) kaart werd gevraagd.
Ik heb gewoon een achtergrond met alcohol inkt gemaakt  en daarop de huisjes en bomen-rij gekleefd. Hopelijk is het "simpel" genoeg.
Ook nog een foto uit mijn tuin, het lieveheersbeestje voelt zich thuis.
Hartelijk dank voor de lieve reacties op mijn vorige kaart, ik ben er heel blij mee.
Straks ga ik natuurlijk weer een blogronde doen.

Wow, July is gone, how quickly time flies ! I wonder what August will bring, sunshine I hope, but I don't want tropical weather anymore. :)
Today another Christmas card for "52weekstochristmas" and for the monthly challenge. They asked a CAS (clean and simple) card.
I made a background with alcohol ink, and put on the row with little houses and trees. I do hope that it's simple enough.
Also a picture from my garden, the lady bug likes it there.
